Still not Still | Ligia Lewis
Full of abysmal humor and surrealistic imagery, Ligia Lewis' work "Still Not Still" evokes a poetic theatrical language that shatters any fantasy of historical progress. If history is fallible, insufficient, and marked by gaps and absences, can it simply be consigned to the past? The image of an 8th century Black Madonna in Italy inspired her to create an evening dedicated to those left in the shadows by history: black and queer people, non-normative bodies. On March 23 and 24 at the Muffathalle

for you my love | Johanna Richter
Five performers travel into the world of Shakespeare's works. In all facets of dance theater they bring the stories of the tragic heroes to the stage. They confront the dramas of humanity, the tragedies and conflicts and continuously change playfully from character to character. Thus, from play to play, the perpetual cycle of love and death unfolds, for all the tragic conflicts into which Shakespeare's heroes fall, and for the resolution of which they struggle, begin in the name of love, which transfigures into hate, and finally ends fatally. fear.less | Johanna Richter
Influenced by the experience of prescribed isolation, and the fundamental uncertainty of what human closeness can mean in times of a pandemic, Johanna Richter tells in fear.less beyond words, with a lot of humor and empathy, the story of six characters who, after a time in solitude, want to find their way back to a shared normality. All of them bring with them the psycho-physical traces of isolation that overwhelm them, and make them helpless to meet each other now in a confined space. They experience an emotional world of fear, insecurity, longing and the utopia of being able to meet again without restrictions. At the same time, the need for closeness reveals an elementary human need that is timeless and extends far beyond the aftermath of the pandemic. On April 21 and 22 at the schwere reiter

DorkyPark | Constanza Macras
The piece moves between overconsumption and global initiatives and reactions born on the Internet, fed by an angst-filled horror vacui, the fear of nothingness, and cookbooks in lockdown. Individualism is in crisis, but without copying nature to find forms of collectivism; a new path that fails because solidarity as such has not been established and predatory machinations prevail without clear goals or prayers. On 26 and 27 April at the Muffathalle

Körperatlas | Sahra Huby
In anatomy or biology classes, we learn about the human body as a skeleton or as a system of muscle strands and functions. Muscles, organs, body parts are depicted - but what exactly are these body parts, what defines my hand as a hand? And why is there no word for the area between my elbow and my upper arm? What would the body look like if we thought of it as a landscape, a weather system, or a folded skin sculpture? What do these body images look like in motion? With her piece Körperatlas, Sahra Huby explores existing body concepts and body images, changes them and plays with them. Through dance, ways of perceiving the body are expanded and alternative ways of depicting the body are presented by means of live drawings.
