‚Deine Hand auf meiner Schulter‘ | Judith Hummel, Esther Zahel

In the exhibition 'Your hand on my shoulder' two different search movements meet and artistically approach the question "where am I at home?". From 08 September to 09 November at Doppelpass VI, DG Kunstraum.

Esther Zahel approaches the question of home in a painterly way. She creates pieces of furniture or entire interiors by means of paint and brush,a home that you can also move - whereby it grows and changes. The motifs develop over time like annual rings around the painter.

In search of her origins, Judith Hummel follows the paths of her grandmother, who fled to Germany from the Romanian Banat in 1944. Where do I come from? is the title of this path.

In walking, in going back, Judith Hummel researches her own origins and lays a cinematic-performative track around the fields of memory and body.
