The new production by Anna Konjetzky will have its world premiere on October 31 as part of the SPIELART Festival. A choreographic songbook, an album, an archive that tries to make the absent visible, a homage to the forgotten, the repressed.
"Songs" and "absence", the two main words in the title are content and program for this work. "Absence" looks from a feminist perspective for the things that are missing, not visible, disappear in the interstices, want to be said or not, and questions whether absences are 'only' a not-wanting-to-be-seen/not-can-be-seen. "Songs" points to a formal engagement, both with the song form and album structure itself, and in the long run with the performance structure that can move between individual songs and the complete album. It is about the composition, the physical, sonic, spatial composition of an evening that functions like a polyphonic parkour: polyphonic - polyphonic, an autonomy and independence of voices.
Thus, a songbook, an album, a collection, an archive is created that tries to make visible, to name the absent, to create a homage to the forgotten, the repressed.
