E-WERK Freiburg provides a forum for the young and innovative cultural and art scene. With about 400 events annually, the E-WERK Freiburg presents current artistic positions at the interface of theater, dance, music, discourse, visual arts and performance. Originally built as an electricity plant, the E-WERK Freiburg as a socio-cultural center today gives everyone access to culture. It is a motor for socio-political discourse, innovative art and cultural exchange. Under the roof of the E-WERK Freiburg are, in addition to our stages, studios, independent art schools and various theaters. With the venue SÜDUFER, E-WERK Freiburg operates a house for rehearsals, artistic experiments and studio productions.

CURATOR:IN* FOR DANCE & PERFORMANCE [50%]
As Curator:in for Dance & Performance you will be part of the leadership and program team and responsible for the dance program. You network important actors of the local and (inter)national dance and performance scene in Freiburg. You develop new formats and projects and support artists and companies in the realization of their own and co-productions. As a curator you will cooperate with the "Tanznetz Freiburg gUG" in the implementation of the Tanzpakt II - funding "Stand-Land-Bund" and let your ideas flow into the realization.
For the advertised position we are looking for a committed personality with very good knowledge of current developments in the performing arts. With team spirit, communication skills and diversity competence, you will develop a challenging program that sets trend-setting impulses and focuses on current artistic positions.
Program design of the dance and performance program
Curating and organizational support of festivals, projects, co-productions and guest performances in the field of dance
networking and exchange with local and (inter)national artists and artist groups as well as organizers
Collaboration and program design with the Tanznetz Freiburg, as well as supervision of the funding program Tanzpakt II until the end of 2024.
artistic consulting of artists in the context of own and co-productions
Acquisition of funding and conception of the content of funding applications.
Professional experience in curating and/or dramaturgical support of dance and performance programs and projects.
University degree or equivalent qualification in a field relevant to the position
Networking and knowledge of the national and international dance and performance scene
Practical experience and knowledge of the structures of socio-cultural centers or production houses, as well as the working methods of the independent scene
willingness to develop innovative event formats
sensitivity for diversity discourses and intercultural competence
strong communication and social skills, enjoy working in a team a high degree of self-organization and independence
Willingness to work weekends and evenings
