Choreographer
Anna Konjetzky & Co has been creating dance pieces since 2005 that can be seen at theaters and on festivals nationally and internationally (e.g., Spielart, Dance, Augenblick mal Festival Berlin, Co-Festival Ljubljana, Bipod Festival Beirut, ...).
She also choreographs for established companies such as the Saarländisches Staatstheater and Staatstheater Braunschweig, and teaches at universities worldwide, including the Mozarteum Salzburg, UNAM Mexico, and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Anna Konjetzky has received multiple awards for her work. In 2006, for example, she received the Dance Scholarship from the Berlin Senate Administration for Germaine Acoggy/Senegal. At euro-scene Leipzig 2009, "Elephantengedächtnis" won the 1st Prize for "The Best German Dance Solo." In 2013, she was nominated for the George Tabori Prize, and in 2014, she received the Dance Promotion Prize of the City of Munich.
Her piece "Running" was nominated for the German Theatre Award DER FAUST in 2018. Her projects deal with the physical reflection of sociopolitical themes from a queer-feminist perspective. In 2019, she founded PLAYGROUND, a space for artistic research and dialogue in Munich.
