Annerose Schmidt
Choreographer
Annerose Schmidt was trained at CODARTS / University of the Arts, Rotterdam and the Ballet Academy Zurich. In the Dutch contemporary dance scene she worked as a freelance dancer in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, among others with Eric van Kouwenhoven, Jerome Bel. She danced for seven years as a member of the ensemble of NEUER TANZ / Düsseldorf - VA Wölfl, at national and international guest performances, among others in New York - APAP Dance Fair. New York - APAP Dance Fair, Paris- Concours de Bagnolet, Hongkong Arts Festival, Hebbeltheater Berlin, Mousonturm Frankfurt, Sprengelmuseum Hannover, Expo 2000 Hannover, German Embassy Paris- Salon international pour la photographie- Carrousel du Louvre.
With her own choreographic work she takes part in the International Choreographers' Studio Munich and follows an invitation of the Goethe Institute, to the "International Dance Day Bangkok". She receives a six-month UNESCO grant to develop "Travelling Artists" in Bangkok, an outdoor choreography at various locations in public space, with dancers and musicians from Chulalongkorn University. This production took her to China for the Guangdong Dance Festival, where her production was performed.
Since 2012 she has been choreographing in the field of "Young Dance Theater", at the Residenztheater Munich "Junges Resi". There she created interdisciplinary piece productions at the interface of dance, text and music. The following choreographies for productions were created: DNA, The Class, Spring Awakening, We are young. We are strong, Homevideo, SINN. These productions were staged and performed at the Marstalltheater in Munich. In the youth theater Graz" Next Liberty", she realized choreographies with the acting team and works since 2019 in the Schauburg Munich.
She choreographs and gives workshops at home and abroad, in improvisation and dance composition. Her interests lie in the artistic exploration of body-space architecture and the composition of movements from text material. Her productions RAUSCH and SENSE were prizewinners in the national competitions of the Berliner Festspiele and were shown at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Marstall Theater Munich and Schwere Reiter. DEDICATION formed the conclusion of the triology and was performed at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
Numerous youth productions were created with FOKUS Tanz, among others with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Haus der Kunst and Cuvilliés Theater Munich. In the youth program CAMPUS / Staatsballett Munich, she worked in the artistic direction team of "Heinrich tanzt" and in the context of the contemporary stage dance trainings Berlin / balance1 and Iwanson Munich, she was active as a lecturer.
